Abstract: This paper introduces the physical and chemical properties of butadiene as well as the causes and hazards of its autopolymers, analyzes the possible problems in the process of butadiene storage and transport, discusses the methods on preventing the autopolymers from compromising safe storage and transport, and puts forward, in light of the practical engineering experience,the points that should be paid attention to in the design of butadiene tank area.
