Abstract:
During the production of SAPO-34 molecular sieve, a special support for MTO (methanol-to-olefin) catalyst, a large amount of amine-containing wastewater is generated due to the use of triethylamine, an organic amine template agent. Industrial parks and local environmental standards require COD ≤ 500 mg/L and TOC ≤ 200 mg/L in the effluent, and the emission limit for triethylamine as a particular pollutant is as low as 5.0 mg/L in some regions, making it difficult for conventional treatment processes to meet the standards stably. In this study, a combined process of resin adsorption with steam stripping is adopted for the amine-containing wastewater from SAPO-34 molecular sieve production, realizing efficient enrichment and resource recovery of triethylamine. Experimental results show that the mass concentration of triethylamine in wastewater is reduced from 120 mg/L to below 20 mg/L, and the total recovery rate of organic amines reaches more than 90%. This provides an economically feasible technical scheme for the up-to-standard treatment of amine-containing wastewater and resource utilization of template agents.
