Abstract: The transportation industry is an important part of our national economy, and water transportation boasts low cost, large freight volume, long transport distance, etc. Therefore, vigorous development of the transportation industry with focus on water transport can promote the growth of the national economy to the maximum extent. Adopting effective countermeasures against the status quo of the port and waterway dredging works is conducive to improve economic and social benefits of water transport.
